I took a literature class in college that discussed this same issue. considering the NYTimes “Bestseller” list (which has little to do with sales) is the taste generator for all types of literature. In light of this, for the NYT to exhibit this sort of sexist behavior is deeply disturbing. I’m pretty sure if you put a novel written by the great Haruki Murakami in the dustcover...
